Ski Roads is a project I built out of frustration with the Utah Department of Transportation’s traffic app. It works, sure, but it doesn’t really help if all you want is a quick way to check road conditions and traffic cams in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons.

After stumbling across the UDOT API, I started vibe-coding using Cursor and a few weeks later, Ski Roads was up and running. Now, on a powder day, you can check if the canyons are cleared before heading up to Snowbird to get your turns in. Easy.

It's free to use and ad-free, so the annual recurring revenue is sitting at -$99.00 because of the Apple Developer fee.

Ok… Ski Roads won’t be ad-free for much longer, I’ve decided.
